ArtGlo Engages Eastern Region Police on Refugee Inclusion

22 January 2026,

ArtGlo engaged the Eastern Region Police through a private film screening and dialogue on refugee welfare and inclusion at the Eastern Region Police Headquarters.

The screening featured the film We Name Ourselves, which opened space for reflection on dignity, identity, and the lived experiences of refugees.

The session was graced by the Deputy Commissioner, Mr. Kelvin Mulezo, alongside officers from the region, and was enriched by live spoken word performances that powerfully amplified refugee voices and narratives. The screening was followed by a fruitful and respectful conversation on inclusion, protection, and the role of law enforcement in upholding human rights.

“Refugees are human beings like everyone else, and it is our responsibility to treat them with dignity, fairness, and respect while carrying out our duties.”- Mr. Kelvin Mulezo, Deputy Commissioner, Eastern Region Police.

ArtGlo extends its sincere appreciation to Home Storytellers and the Big Heart Foundation for the great partnership and contribution in making this impactful engagement possible.
